Certificates and Airline Qualification Admissions

The Certificates and Airline Qualification Program provide qualified pilot certified candidates with Ailine Qualification Program internships, research and instruction opportunities in different academic units.

Airline Qualification Program Admissions

At American Academy of Aeronautics, we look for students who exhibit a commitment to learning, a strong work ethic, and a love of aviation. The primary criterion for admission is a commitment to academic success. We seek outstanding students who can bring positive energy to American Academy of Aeronautics. We also take into consideration personal qualities.

The admissions process at American Academy of Aeronautics is limited to four enrollment dates each school year. We are placing students quarterly in the graduate program sessions which start in September, January, March, and June. Early graduate program sessions option start in August, October, January and May. Since the admissions process for a typical qualified student takes about 60 days, and since courses have a tendency to fill up quickly, we encourage you to start the admissions process as early as possible. For information about application policies and procedures, please visit prospective graduate information or call the Office of Graduate Admissions at (408) 825-1360 on Monday through Friday, between 09:30AM and 5:00PM.

Financing Options

Students without full financial support from external sources, or those who have dependents, may need to use student loans to meet their expenses.

Loan funds, available only for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, may not be sufficient to meet the full cost of education. If you have dependents, you will need other sources of funding to support your family.

Although the cost of education may vary from person to person, the Financial Aid Office develops an estimate of living expenses, which is used to determine loan eligibility.

Students are expected to work and study full-time to facilitate timely completion of their programs. Financing the Airline Qualification Program study through concurrent employment is difficult and may be limited by the type of financial support.
The Academy recommends that prospective students apply for grants from national, industrial, or foundation sources for which they may be eligible. Information may be obtained from the financial aid office. from United States Information Service. or from other references found on the internet.
