Undergraduate Financial Aid

Financial aid was provided to about 80 percent of our undergraduate students from a variety of sources in 2009-10.

The financial aid program is available only to students who have been accepted for undergraduate admissions.

Students are expected to study full-time to facilitate timely completion of their programs. Financing the Commercial Pilot Development Program study through concurrent employment is difficult and may be limited by the type of financial support.

Students without financial support from external sources, may need to use student loans to meet their expenses.

Loan funds, available only for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, and may not be sufficient to meet the full cost of education.

Although the cost of education may vary from person to person, the Financial Aid Office develops an estimate of living expenses, which is used to determine loan eligibility.

The Parent Contribution
While you and your parents have the primary responsibility for paying for college, financial aid can bridge the gap between the total costs and your ability to pay.

Student Responsibility
We expect you to participate in paying for a portion of your college costs. To meet this expectation, you may choose to use job earnings and outside scholarships. We do not expect you to need to borrow student loans, although they are available to you.
